Hi, I am Zippora Latzko but most people call me Zippy. My original career path was in economics with focus on tourism. The reason for switching my career from the tourism industry to Web Development, with the help of the LeWagon bootcamp, was that I really love the feeling of creating something with my own skills.
I’ve always been a very creative kid but chose a field of study that combined a lot of my other skills like being good in learning new languages, my mathematical skills and simply being a very communicative and outgoing person. The 7th semester of my Bachelor’s degree was intended for an internship. Even though my internship was in a tourism- and event agency, I was able to do many technical / creative things such as designing and creating with Adobe InDesign, working on a new website with WordPress and Elementor which included gaining experience with Adobe PhotoShop.
My satisfaction of seeing my own results at the end of the day or week is the reason that I decided to change my career to Web Development. The coding bootcamp was an incredible learning experience. So at the moment I am an aspiring frontend developer. After the bootcamp now I spend my time on personal projects and learning more about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and teaching myself the framework React with the help of freeCodeCamp and Udemy.
